Stir- Fried Mince With Coconut

Ingredients

500 gm mutton,minced
2 medium sized onions, sliced
3 green chillies, slit
3 cm piece ginger julienned
2 medium sized tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp oil

Coarsely Ground

1/2 medium sized, fresh coconut, grated
4 shallots, chopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
6 dry red chillies, torn into pieces
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
3 cm stick cinnamon, broken into pieces
2 cloves
1/2 fennel seeds

Method

1. Combine mince, onions,green chilies and ginger in a pressure cooker with scant 1/2 cup water and cook under pressure for 30 minutes.

2. Open cooker,add tomatoes, salt and coconut-spice paste, and cook over high heat till dry, stirring constantly.
